Business Valuation/ Finance Associate

Position Summary

As a Business Valuation/ Finance/ Associate at American Valuations, your responsibilities will include working on litigation/business valuation engagements or related tasks.

Responsibilities

  1. Organize and prepare case documents and binders clearly, neatly, and accurately.

  2. Learn client's business as it relates to particular areas of the valuation assignment.

  3. Assist with data entry, the analysis of financial statements and tax returns as part of the valuation engagement.

  4. Assist with research on national, state, and local economy, industry, and market data.

  5. Assist with the development of valuation models and research on valuation inputs.

  6. Assist with the report preparation in different formats.

  7. Participate in marketing and outreach efforts, as required.

  8. Assist in organizing business development events, and other ad hoc projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be working towards the achievement of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • A Finance Degree minor or double-major is a plus.

  • Strong academic track record;

  • Intermediate-Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and MS Word;

  • Relevant work experience (i.e. internships, summer positions, school jobs) is a plus;

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills;

  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities;

  • Work additional hours as needed; Authorized to work in the United States;

  • Maintain confidentiality of firm and client information.
